Pedro and Soldado scored in the 1st half to give Spain a much deserved lead.
Pedro flashed a shot that deflected via Lugano's ankle to send goal keeper Muslera the wrong way.
Roberto Soldado collected a fantastic pass from Fabregas to volley home the double leading as Spain posses the game more than shallow Uruguay.
Uruguay were lucky not to recieve more goals as Fabregas effort hit the wood work and Soldado missed a couple of tap-in goals.
Uruguay put up a horrible performance today, and maybe their worst performance in history. Their midfielder were uncreative, no clear pass to attackers, Cavani and Suarez was left to do the hard marking.
Suarez was fouled by Ramos and a free-kick was awarded, Luis Suarez replicated the exact style that Pirlo of Italy used to score Mexico earlier in the day as he swinged the curving kick past Casillas to give Uruguay an undeserved consolation goal in the 86th minutes to take the final score to 2-1
